About MBendi
MBendi Information Services (Pty) Ltd is a privately owned
Internet business publishing company founded in 1995 and based in Cape Town,
South Africa. The company uses the Internet to support business and political
decision makers worldwide.
The MBendi website
and E-mail newsletters
assist organisations to find and research potential opportunities and partners.
At the same time, MBendi helps providers of products and services to reach
decision makers in a cost-effective way.
While MBendis scope includes all the regions of the
world and all industry sectors, our main focus is on energy, mining, travel,
trade and the developing world, especially Africa. Our newsletter commentary
addresses issues relevant to the future of both the developed and developing
worlds.
Each month the MBendi website is used by some 250,000
visitors, while the twice monthly MBendi newsletter is sent to a readership of
nearly 100,000. Although the demographics change from month to month, these
audiences are generally located in Africa (46%), Asia Pacific (20%), Europe
(18%) and North America (15%).
Our readers are mostly managers and professionals from
organisations large and small. They are influential in their organisations
while, in their personal capacities, they are high net worth individual
investors, travelers and consumers.
Advertising is MBendis main source of revenue. At
any time, more than 100 companies, of all sizes and from around the world,
advertise in our website and newsletters in order to reach these audiences. We
provide a range of innovative advertising solutions to suit all
budgets with special emphasis on measuring the results obtained to ensure our
clients objectives are achieved. Many of MBendis clients repeat
their advertising year after year.
MBendis directors have extensive worldwide
experience of strategic management, information systems, the world energy
industry and African business. Over the years MBendi's activities have received
considerable publicity in the local and international press. Several thousand
websites around the world, including those of the World Bank and G8
governments, include links to the MBendi website.
Earn and
Learn, conducted with the University of Cape Town, is an ongoing project to
develop the business skills of students from deprived backgrounds. MBendi
enjoys Level 4 BEE status under South African law. |
